This study was an investigation of the factors affecting the use of music as an educational tool in the Apostolic Reformation churches (ARC) in Nairobi. Music in church worship is increasingly becoming an important aspect of church activities. This research was intended to find out whether; the perception of ARC members to the use of music as an educational tool, presence or lack of training for worshi p leaders, the origin of the songs, the age of worship leaders and the content of the songs affected their use as medium of Christian education. The researcher developed a written questionnaire to answer the research questions and the subsequent hypotheses. The research population comprised leaders and members of the Apostolic Reformation churches. The questionnaires were administered personally to the respondents following which the results were analyzed. The study revealed that the members of ARCs' held the music ministry with high esteem as an educational tool. It was observed that training for worship leaders and musicians was a much needed factor in the music ministries of the ARCs churches. It was also revealed that the origin of songs affected their educational value. Furthermore the age of worship leaders and the content of the songs they choose for worship affected the their use in Christian Education.en_US
