    The aim or this research was 10 investigate the views of church leaders about the causes of tribalism in CEBCE church in Nord-Kivu province. Literature Review discussed the following subjects: tribalism ill the Old Testament, Israel and the Canaanites, tribalism in the New Testament, views of people about the causes of tribal conflict and effects of tribal conflict. . The population of this research were church leaders from CEDCE church and from the "Eglise du Christ au Congo"(ECC). 56 members of the population were selected for the study and a questionnaire and oral interviews were used.
